Lauri Goldstein supports D.A.R.E. graduates

Special recognition was given to Stuart attorney Lauri J. Goldstein at the recent Hobe Sound Elementary School D.A.R.E graduation. She had provided each of the Hobe Sound graduates T-shirts that commemorated their individual achievements in the Drug Awareness Resistance Education course.

Goldstein had also provided T-shirts for D.A.R.E. course graduates at Seawind, Pinewood and Port Salerno elementary schools. In her remarks to the Hobe Sound students, Goldstein emphasized that they had set a good example for others in the community, and she hoped they all remembered the dangers of drugs as they grew older and took on more challenges.

Goldstein, recognized locally for her philanthropic support of numerous charities and community organizations—including a billboard on Kanner Highway that advertises charitable events free of charge—was nominated for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Treasure Coast Chapter’s National Philanthropy Day Awards for Small Business Philanthropist.

Martin County Sheriff’s Deputy Martha Williams, who taught the course at the school, called the T-shirts donated by Goldstein as “the most beautiful D.A.R.E. T-shirts I’ve ever seen.”
