Corrections to Harmony Ranch story

In the previous of issue of Hobe Sound Currents, the article titled “Harmony Ranch proposal puts burr under the no-growth saddle” had two errors.

The first, pointed out by Tom Kenney, vice president of the Harmony Ranch development, is that no previous application had requested an extension of the urban services boundary. This is their first request for such an extension, and the parcel of land proposed for development in their current application lies adjacent to the current urban services line.

Also, a quote by Martin County Commissioner Patrick Hayes saying that the commission had rejected an earlier proposal from Harmony because the density request was “excessive,” was made in reference to Hobe Grove, said the commissioner, not Harmony Ranch.

We apologize for the errors and for any inconvenience they may have caused.
